School Trips & Language Immersion in Spain

For Spanish teachers, schools and language academies — three nights or three weeks, any time of year

WHAT A SCHOOL TRIP WITH US INCLUDES

Learning, not just sightseeing

Travel4Learning is a licensed Spanish travel agency (CICAV 39106) receiving school groups and language students in Spain since 1986. We work with Spanish teachers travelling with their own classes, with schools and language academies, and with student travel agencies from across Europe.

Whether you are planning a short cultural trip, a full language-immersion stay with host families, or a multi-week programme, we design and run the Spanish side end to end — destination, accommodation, activities, transfers and a named coordinator on the ground for the whole stay. No EU funding or Erasmus+ paperwork is required: you tell us what your students need to learn and when, and we build the programme around it.

Travelling with your own students? Most of the groups we receive are Spanish teachers bringing their own classes for a short immersion stay: host families, morning activities or classes, afternoon excursions, and a local coordinator you can call at any hour. Tell us your dates and group size and we will send you a programme and a price.

Programme, group leaders and booking conditions

The usual stay is 3 to 5 nights, from Monday or Tuesday to Thursday or Friday. It can be extended depending on the client and the programme (for example, in Erasmus+).

From 13 years old. We have hosted groups from many different countries.

The minimum is 4 students, depending on the programme. There is no maximum: the programme adapts to the size of the group.

Students spend the whole day on a cultural excursion, roughly from 8:30–9:00 to 19:30–20:30 depending on the group. They have breakfast and dinner with the family and take a picnic prepared by them: two sandwiches, water, fruit and a napkin. In the afternoon and evening they practise the language at home.

In Spain, one adult for every 12 students. The accompanying adults have custody of the minors throughout the stay and attend the programme activities; T4L does not assume legal custody.

The T4L team, with daily follow-up by the T4L team members based in each destination, and a 24/7 emergency phone for service incidents. The number is given to accompanying adults and families with the booking confirmation.

The T4L team, including our team members in your destination, follows up daily. There is a 24/7 emergency phone for service incidents (accommodation, transfers and activities). Managing students’ behaviour is the responsibility of the group leader.

Be reachable by phone 24 hours a day, report delays or schedule changes, tell T4L the same day about any health or disciplinary incident, and help manage any difficulty with the programme.

Dietary needs (allergies, intolerances, religious or medical diets) are reported on the participant form at least 21 days in advance; if they arrive later, T4L cannot guarantee to accommodate them. T4L sends the list of assigned families at least 10 days before arrival and delivers the final programme at least 14 days before. We confirm family availability several months ahead, so the earlier the group is closed, the better.

Serious or repeated breaches allow T4L to rehouse the student or, after informing the accompanying adult and the Client, end their stay without a refund. The Client organises and pays for the early return.

Yes, with at least 14 days’ notice and within 12 months of the planned date, at no cost and subject to availability. Non-recoverable third-party costs are borne by the Client.

A participant can be replaced by giving at least 7 calendar days’ notice, without penalty; T4L only passes on the actual, documented costs. Drop-outs of up to 20% of the group are treated as individual cancellations; if the reduction exceeds 20%, the group scale applies to the difference. If drop-outs bring the group below the price band in the quotation, the price of the remaining participants is recalculated at the new band’s rate.

Groups must travel with their own insurance; T4L does not include it in the price. It must cover travel assistance, medical expenses and liability valid in Spain, and the policy or certificate must reach T4L before the group arrives. T4L is not an insurer and is not responsible for medical expenses, repatriation or loss of personal belongings. We also recommend cancellation insurance.

The final list of participants with one form per person (identification, emergency contact, dietary and health needs, language level), the authorisations of minors’ legal guardians (travel, host-family accommodation, emergency medical care and data processing), proof of insurance and a valid ID or passport. The participant form must reach T4L at least 21 days before arrival.
